MANILA, Philippines — The Ayala group’s Automobile Central Enterprise Inc. (ACEI) has reached an agreement with Volkswagen AG to end the distribution of the German brand’s vehicles in the Philippines.
In a notice to customers, ACEI announced that Volkswagen BGC will continue its operations only until September 30.
A member of the Ayala group, ACEI has been the official distributor of Volkswagen vehicles in the country, but with this recent development, the company will cease its involvement with the brand going forward.
