The Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Shield, awarded jointly with North Eastern Railway for overall efficiency among all railway zones, was received by Dharam Veer Meena on 21st December 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This award recognizes the meritorious performance of Central Railway across core competencies such as Traffic Operations, Construction, and other disciplines.
The Kaul Gold Cup was awarded to Central Railway for its achievements across multiple sports disciplines. Central Railway’s sportspersons led from the front, helping the zone secure first place among all the zonal railways and production units.
In addition to the outstanding overall performance, Central Railway marked a landmark victory by winning the IRCC Running Cultural Competition Shield for the very first time. Emerging as the overall winner of the Inter Railway Cultural Competition, the zone showcased exceptional talent from the Central Railway Cultural Academy across various divisions and workshops. Their stellar performances in multiple cultural events reflect the consistent nurturing and encouragement provided by officers, led ably by General Manager Dharam Veer Meena and Principal Chief Commercial Manager Arvind Malkhede.
