MANILA, Philippines — The Marcos administration plans to scale back local borrowing in the fourth quarter as its annual fundraising efforts wind down, the Bureau of the Treasury said.
According to a memo dated September 22, the government will raise ₱437 billion through weekly debt offerings from October to December.
This quarter’s borrowing program is 36.7 percent smaller compared to previous periods, reflecting a strategic adjustment in fundraising activities.
