### Rising Water Levels in Pune’s Dams
Several dams in the Pune district have reported rising water levels due to continuous rainfall. The Tata Power management at Mulshi Dam announced that the reservoir is currently filled to 99.58 percent of its capacity. As a result, the discharge into the Mula River is being increased from 3,320 cusecs to 7,000 cusecs starting from 12:00 noon.
Officials stated that further changes in discharge will depend on rainfall intensity and inflow conditions. Authorities have strictly appealed to citizens **not to enter riverbeds** and to immediately shift any livestock or belongings from riverbanks to safer areas.

The Khadakwasla Irrigation Division confirmed that Pavana Dam has reached 100 percent storage capacity. Currently, 1,400 cusecs are being released into the river, with plans to increase the discharge to 2,880 cusecs by 10:30 a.m. today.
Officials cautioned that discharge levels may be raised or reduced in stages depending on rainfall in the catchment area.
The Flood Control Cell of Pavana Dam has urged citizens living along the riverbank to take **maximum precautions** and cooperate fully with the Water Resources Department and the district administration.
