Born in Gujarat in 1869, Mahatma Gandhi is widely regarded as the most influential Indian of his era. He shaped the country’s freedom movement through his principles of truth and non-violence, garnering worldwide respect.

Lal Bahadur Shastri, born in Uttar Pradesh in 1904, rose to become India’s Prime Minister following the death of Jawaharlal Nehru. His honesty and leadership during his short tenure—which included guiding the country through the war with Pakistan—earned him universal praise.
