Renault India has launched a special 10th Anniversary Limited Edition of the popular Kwid hatchback. The Kwid has made a significant impact on India’s entry-level car market, thanks to its SUV-like design and affordability. Priced at ₹5.14 lakh for the manual transmission (MT) and ₹5.63 lakh for the AMT variant, this limited edition model is based on the Techno variant and comes in two new dual-tone shades: Fiery Red with Black Roof and Shadow Gray with Black Roof. Only 500 units of this special edition will be available.
Special Features
The 10th Anniversary Limited Edition Kwid sports unique anniversary-themed touches that set it apart. It includes black flex wheels, exclusive anniversary decals on the doors and C-pillar, and a striking yellow grille insert. Inside, the cabin features special details such as exclusive seat patterns with yellow accents, a leatherette steering wheel with contrast stitching, and illuminated scuff plates, enhancing the overall premium feel.
Model Updates Across the Kwid Range
Alongside the limited edition launch, Renault has refreshed the entire Kwid lineup with new variant names: Evolution (formerly RXL), Techno (formerly RXT), and Climber. Safety has been significantly improved across the range with the addition of 3-point seatbelts for all seats. Notably, the top-end Climber variant now offers six airbags, a big step forward in safety for this budget segment car.
Performance and Engine Details
The Renault Kwid continues to be powered by a 1.0-liter SCe petrol engine delivering 69 horsepower and 92.5 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual transmission or the Easy-R AMT gearbox. The updated Kwid range starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹4.29 lakh for the base variant, while the AMT option begins at ₹4.99 lakh, making it one of India’s most affordable automatic cars.
