RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Kyle Wickersham both threw and ran for a touchdown as Richmond held off Fordham for a 17-14 victory on Saturday.
Wickersham completed 23 of 35 passes for 193 yards. He opened the scoring early in the first quarter with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Ja’Vion Griffin.
Later in the game, Wickersham extended Richmond’s lead with a 4-yard touchdown run, pushing the score to 17-7.
Richmond’s team effort helped secure the win in a closely contested matchup against Fordham.
