**Gerard Cassidy, RBC Capital Markets, Research Division**
I’m Gerard Cassidy, the President of the BancAnalysts Association of Boston. Thank you all for attending today—I really appreciate it.
With us today is PNC Financial, a well-known institution with approximately $569 billion in total assets and a market cap exceeding $70 billion. Currently, PNC operates over 2,200 branches across the United States. In the last quarter, the company reported a return on tangible common equity of about 17%.
PNC’s business is primarily divided into three segments: Retail Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, and Asset Management.
To my immediate right is Rob Reilly, Executive Vice President and CFO. Many of you already know Rob; he has been CFO since 2013. Before that, he led PNC’s Asset Management division for several years.
To Rob’s right is Alex Overstrom. For a few of us in the room—myself, Charlie, and Brent—who have been covering this industry for quite some time, there’s a fun connection to baseball. We admire famous players like the Griffeys, the Boones, and the Bonds. Similarly, Alex’s father presented here representing Shawmut National back in the mid- to early 1990s.
This makes Alex and his father the first father-and-son duo to present with the Beavers Head. A remarkable legacy indeed.
