Amelia Gray Hamlin and Alex Consani re-create iconic 1991 supermodel shoot for Ludovic de Saint Sernin x Zara campaign

Dubbed an “overnight celebrity favorite” by Vogue magazine, Parisian designer Ludovic de Saint Sarnin is making waves once again—this time through a highly anticipated partnership with Zara for their latest Holiday collection.

Available to shop beginning November 17, the collection features ready-to-wear fashion and accessories for both men and women. This exciting collaboration originally began during Zara’s 50th anniversary celebration, where Saint Sarnin designed an exclusive chair. Now, in addition to having a place in the homes of Zara devotees, he is set to influence their wardrobes with a full capsule collection that’s already generating buzz.

The glitz and glamour synonymous with his namesake line clearly inspire the more accessible Zara pieces. Expect to see chainmail embellishments, studded leather, and silk slip dresses throughout the collection, combining luxury aesthetics with wearability.

Though the collection is not yet available in stores, the campaign images have been released online. Shot entirely in black and white, a diverse group of models pose together against the iconic New York City backdrop, which acts as a character in the story itself.

Zara shared a video from the photo shoot on their Instagram account Tuesday morning, featuring models Alex Consani, Amelia Gray Hamlin, Maxine Emad, and Awwal Adeoti. The footage transitions from the leather-clad streets of the city to strobe-light-filled nightclubs, evoking the thrilling energy of New York in the ’90s—the golden era of iconic supermodels.

Complementing the video, the still images strongly embrace this retro vibe. One standout shot draws inspiration from Peter Lindbergh’s legendary 1991 photograph “The Wild Ones,” which famously featured supermodels Cindy Crawford, Tatjana Patitz, Helena Christensen, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Karen Mulder, and Stephanie Seymour.

For Saint Sarnin, this collaboration holds deep personal significance. Speaking to Vogue, he said, “I think it’s really important as a young queer designer to not just build my own brand, be independent in the industry, and produce fashion garments, but also to tell stories and be visible.”

He added, “I invited my mom to the video shoot because I wanted her to see how big a project it is for us. She was there on set with us for the two days that we filmed, and she was trying on the clothes. ‘I can finally wear LdSS,’ she said. And I was, like, yes, that’s the whole point.”
