The Missouri State Fire Marshal is investigating a three-alarm fire at a vacant building fire Monday night on North D Street Monday night. Two dogs were in the structure at the time of the fire and were both overcome with smoke. According to Battalion Chief Jeff Hale’s report, when he arrived at 325 N. D St. at about 7: 35 p. m. he found the property was vacant and unsecured. Capt. Robison and Firefighter Trey McDaniel made an interior attack. As the other crews arrived they helped search for remaining hot spots until the fire was fully extinguished. Crews used 1, 000 gallons of water to fight the fire. An off-duty crew was called back in to work. Crew members were Micheal Somers, Joshua Buhler, Josh Robison, Trey McDaniel, Eric Mierisch, Travis Taylor, Tyler Gutterman. The building inspector, Municipal Utilities and a gas company were notified.
