Hornets’ historic season ends in 3rd round

Hornets’ historic season ends in 3rd round stabinski Wed, 11/26/2025 07: 16 By Darius Cates On a windy Friday, November 21st, the Hornets took a trip down to Fairhope for the third round of the 4A playoffs. Their next opponent was the St. Michael Catholic High School Cardinals. The Cardinals came into this match-up with an undefeated record (12-0). Hornets quarterback Tyekelis Wallace came in as the AHSAA Region Athlete of the Week. He received that honor after the 21-0 win over Mobile Christian, finishing 190 yards from 19 carries and 1 touchdown. Bullock County felt the pressure early when St. Michael forced an interception in the Hornets’ first possession of the game. The turnover resulted in the Cardinals striking first with a touchdown in the red zone. Despite a cold start on the offensive side, the Hornets were able to gain a rhythm. Quarterback Tyekelis Wallace crossed the goal line after a fake handoff, and the Hornets found themselves tied (7-7). The Cardinals started to catch fire even more when they started attacking the Hornets’ secondary. With the air game, it opened up St. Michael’s running attack. In the first half, the Hornets allowed two rushing touchdowns. The Hornets kept getting stopped by the Cardinals’ defense. They were able to clog the holes and hit the runners hard in the back and at the line. The Hornets were able to stay persistent with their bread and butter. Wallace rushed for his second touchdown of the game. After a field goal by St. Michael, Bullock County trailed 25-14 at halftime. The Hornets put forth a great effort, but the Cardinals’ offensive firepower was overwhelming. They had a tough time getting to the quarterback on pass plays and could not close in on the screens. The Cardinals’ wideouts were too fast for the Hornets’ cornerbacks. The DBs for B. C. had trouble tackling in the open field. The Hornets allowed 2 more rushing touchdowns and 2 touchdowns from the air. Bullock County continued to spark plays on offense. Jadorian Mack was able to put second-half points on the board with a touchdown run in the third quarter. Bullock County’s historic season ended with a 52-22 loss to St. Michael. Hornets’ Head Coach Jeremy Vines stated about the game and his team’s season: They’re a really good football team. They have a senior-led team. Our guys gave everything they had. They just ran out of gas towards the end. The guys and seniors class led a foundation for Bullock County High School Football for many years to come. We can build our success from this year and keep moving forward. I am very proud of the coaches, the program, and the kids. It’s amazing what they did this year. It is history. Bullock County never played football this long. We want our basketball guys to be free, but everybody else, we’ll give them to the end of the year and start back in January and hit the ground running hard.” Sports 3 minutes.

A timely diversification opportunity for tech-heavy portfolios

The post A timely diversification opportunity for tech-heavy portfolios appeared com. Key points Healthcare was the best-performing S&P 500 sector over the past month, while information technology was one of the weakest. This divergence may indicate that markets are becoming more selective and are rewarding sectors with resilient earnings profiles. For tech-heavy portfolios, healthcare offers a second growth engine driven by demographics rather than chip cycles, though investors should remain mindful of drug-pricing uncertainty, trial risks, and policy headwinds. A visible rotation: Healthcare outperforms while tech pauses Over the past month, the S&P 500 Healthcare Index gained roughly 8+%, outperforming every major sector, while the S&P 500 Information Technology Index fell by approximately 3-4%. Eli Lilly, Cardinal Health, Regeneron, Biogen, and Merck were among the strongest contributors, with several delivering 20-30% monthly gains. In our opinion, markets have been dominated by AI-driven leadership for much of the past two years, but the recent combination of AI-bubble concerns and rising macro uncertainty-including signs of softer US economic data-is encouraging investors to take a more defensive stance. At the same time, the healthcare sector’s outperformance should be viewed with caution: healthcare faces its own set of risks, including reimbursement pressure, regulatory scrutiny, and trial-driven volatility. This shift does not signal the end of the AI theme. Rather, it highlights a more discerning market environment that demands clearer monetisation pathways and manageable balance-sheet commitments before rewarding AI-linked businesses with further gains. Why healthcare strength makes sense now Earnings resilience is attracting flows Consensus expects S&P 500 healthcare sector earnings to grow 12-15% in 2025, versus 10-12% for the broader S&P 500, according to Bloomberg estimates. Meanwhile, large-cap pharma names such as Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk have delivered double-digit revenue growth driven by GLP-1 obesity and diabetes treatments. However, this resilience coexists with risks: drug-pricing debates are intensifying ahead of the US election cycle, and several large pharma names face patent expiries in the coming years. In our view, the.
