Nashik: Minister Narhari Zirwal Visits Rain-Hit Peth Taluka, Assures Crop Damage Compensation

**Heavy Rains Cause Extensive Damage to Kharif Crops in Peth Taluka; Government to Provide Compensation**

Due to heavy rains over the past three days in Peth taluka, farmers have suffered significant damage to their kharif season crops. The state’s Food and Drug Administration and Special Assistance Minister, Narhari Zirwal, stated that the government will take measures to compensate the affected farmers. He also emphasized the need for a detailed report on the crop damage, to be submitted to the government promptly.

On Thursday, 25th, Minister Zirwal visited several villages including Tondawal, Adgaon, Adhrute, Khokartale, Bilkas, Kelvihir, Ranvihir, Adgaon Bhuvan, and other areas within Peth taluka. During his visit, he inspected the extent of damage to crops such as nagli, warai, rice, urad, and wal.

Minister Zirwal urged the Agriculture Department to expedite the assessment process and ensure the damage report is submitted without delay. He also highlighted the importance of providing medical services to farmers wherever necessary.

The continuous rains have affected crops during their full bloom stage, leading to increased incidents of blight. In response, Minister Zirwal instructed the Agriculture Department to take all necessary measures to mitigate further losses and support the farming community during this challenging time.
