**Pimpri-Chinchwad: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Organises Protest Demanding Farmers’ Compensation and Loan Waiver**
The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Pimpri-Chinchwad city unit held a protest march on Wednesday in front of the Tehsildar’s office in Nigdi. The party demanded adequate compensation for farmers affected by excessive rainfall and called for a complete loan waiver for farmers across Maharashtra.
In recent days, heavy rains have caused widespread disruption in various parts of the state, severely impacting daily life and inflicting significant losses on the farming community. Addressing these concerns, the Shiv Sena (UBT) urged the state government to ensure fair compensation for all farmers affected by the adverse weather conditions.
Additionally, the party has strongly advocated for a complete and unconditional loan waiver for farmers to alleviate their financial burdens.
The protest march was organised to highlight these demands and draw attention to the urgent need for government intervention. Key party leaders present at the event included District Chief Gautam Chabukswar, City Chief Sanjog Waghere Patil, and City Organiser Rupali Alhat. They were joined by Chetan Pawar, Romi Sandhu, Vaibhavi Ghodke, Tushar Navale, Dhananjay Alhat, Kailas Nevaskar, Yuvraj Kokate, Dnyaneshwar Shinde, Parth Gurav, along with other officials and dedicated party workers.
**Opposition Parties Unite in Call for Full Loan Waiver**
Opposition parties in Maharashtra have consistently demanded a full loan waiver for farmers. The Shiv Sena (UBT) has raised this issue repeatedly, referencing actions taken during their previous tenure in government.
Recently, speaking to the media in Pune, NCP-SP MP Supriya Sule echoed these demands, stating, “Farmers need this.” She emphasised that the Maharashtra Government must prioritise farmers’ welfare and take concrete steps to support them in these challenging times.
The growing calls for farmer relief highlight the pressing need for comprehensive measures to address agricultural distress in Maharashtra.
