Israeli government does not see the impact it has on Diaspora Jews – comment

**Israeli Government Underestimates Impact on Diaspora Jews**

Thousands of miles away from the conflict, the Israeli government’s poorly handled PR campaign regarding the war in Gaza has significantly affected Jewish communities abroad. The manner in which the government has managed communication and public relations has resonated deeply, particularly within the Jewish community I grew up in.

In a recent incident highlighting the tension, armed police officers were seen engaging with members of the Jewish community near Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue in Crumpsall, north Manchester, on October 2, 2025. This scene underscores the far-reaching consequences of the conflict and the government’s approach to managing its international image.

The Israeli government appears not to fully recognize the profound impact its actions and messaging have on Diaspora Jews, affecting their sense of security and community cohesion far beyond Israel’s borders.
