MANILA, Philippines – Collins Akowe made a strong impression in his debut performance for the University of Santo Tomas, leading the Growling Tigers to a significant victory over the defending UAAP champion, the University of the Philippines.
The Nigerian center dominated on the Fighting Maroons’ home floor, showcasing his skills by scoring 29 points and grabbing 17 rebounds. Akowe’s impressive performance was a key factor in UST’s win against last year’s champions.
