Filmmaker Aanand L Rai is reportedly reuniting with actor Kriti Sanon for his upcoming project *Nayi Naveli*, following their previous collaboration on *Tere Ishk Mein*. According to Mid-Day, the film may also feature Yami Gautam as a parallel lead, marking the first time the two actresses will share screen space.
### About the Film
The project has been under discussion for nearly a year, and it is expected to be a fantasy drama deeply inspired by Indian folklore. A trade source revealed, “Rai has been particular about the story’s tone — he wants it to feel rooted in Indian folk tradition while having a grand fantasy appeal suitable for the big screen.”
Kriti Sanon was the first actor to be cast, praised for her acting prowess and star presence. She is set to portray a character who is both a folklore heroine and a mystical warrior. Meanwhile, talks are underway with Yami Gautam for a significant role alongside Kriti.
### Production Details
The production team is currently working on finalizing the schedules of the lead actors. Kriti Sanon is busy with the promotions of *Tere Ishk Mein* throughout October, while Yami Gautam is occupied with *Haq*, which is slated for an early November release.
If Yami joins the project, workshops and costume trials are expected to begin by November, with shooting planned to commence in December. The film is set to be shot across locations in Mumbai and North India.
