Filmmaker Aanand L Rai is reportedly reuniting with actor Kriti Sanon for his upcoming project *Nayi Naveli*, following their last collaboration on *Tere Ishk Mein*. According to sources from Mid-Day, the film may also feature Yami Gautam as a parallel lead, marking the first time the two actresses will share the screen.

**A Fantasy Drama Rooted in Indian Folklore**

The film has been in discussion for nearly a year and is expected to be a fantasy drama inspired by Indian folklore. A trade source revealed, “Rai has been particular about the story’s tone; he wants it to feel deeply rooted in Indian folk tradition while delivering a big-screen fantasy appeal. Casting Kriti was the first step because she possesses the acting prowess and star presence required for the role.”

Kriti Sanon is set to portray a character who is part folklore heroine and part mystical warrior. Meanwhile, talks are ongoing with Yami Gautam for a substantial role alongside her. This pairing is highly anticipated as the two actors have not previously worked together.

**Production Timeline and Shooting Locations**

The production team is currently finalizing schedules for the lead actors. An insider noted that Kriti Sanon will be busy promoting *Tere Ishk Mein* throughout October, while Yami Gautam is occupied with the release of *Haq* in early November.

If Yami joins the project, workshops and costume trials are expected to begin by November, paving the way for a December start to filming. The shoot will take place in Mumbai as well as various locations in North India.

Fans can look forward to a visually captivating and culturally rich film when *Nayi Naveli* eventually hits the big screen.
