This is because there’s a unique twist to Inkay’s evolution method in this game. If you are playing in docked mode on your Nintendo Switch or Switch 2, switch to handheld mode and physically turn your console upside down.
Next, go to the Inkay in your team section. You will now see the option to evolve your Inkay. Select it, and your Inkay will evolve into Malamar.
