Mr. Football Award finalists announced

The eight finalists for the 2025 Mr. Football in Ohio award were announced Nov. 26. The finalists in alphabetical order are: • Levi Davis, Olentangy Orange, Sr., OB: Dual-threat QB has 2, 016 passing yards and 935 rushing enter the state semifinal round. Has 15 passing touchdowns and 15 rushing. • Brayden DeVito, Shelby, Sr., QB: Air Force commit passed for 2, 783 yards and rushed for 1, 009 and totaled 59 touchdowns (35 passing, 24 rushing). • Brayton Feister, Akron Hoban, Jr., LB: Has 27 FBS offers as a two-way player for Hoban. Feister had 102 tackles, nine sacks, four forced fumbles and two interceptions. Also rushed for 895 yards and 13 touchdowns. • Ryder Hooks, Lakota East, Sr., RB/DB: Rushed for 2, 032 yards with 19 touchdowns and also had 400 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns. • Cincere Johnson, Glenville, Sr., LB: The Ohio State commit was the Northeast Lakes District Defensive Player of the Year with 112 tackles, 21 for loss and 8. 5 sacks. • Grady Kinsey, Indian Valley, Sr., RB/LB: Ohio’s all-time leader in total touchdowns (136) and rushing touchdowns (131) had gained 2, 585 rushing yards and scored 40 touchdowns this season. • Matt Ponatoski, Cincinnati Moeller, Sr., QB: The reigning Mr. Football award winner and Kentucky recruit threw for 2, 402 yards and 28 touchdowns against just one interception this season. • Rocco Williams, Pickerington Central, Sr., QB: Middle Tennessee State commit passed for 2, 426 yards and 28 touchdowns and also rushed for nine more scores.
