**Encounter Breaks Out Between Security Forces and Terrorists in Udhampur**

An encounter has erupted between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Friday night. According to reports, three to four Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area.

An Indian Army soldier sustained injuries during the gunfight, as reported by India Today.

Earlier, the Army’s White Knight Corps shared an update on its X (formerly Twitter) handle stating, “Contact with Terrorists Update | Contact Site of the ongoing operation is Doda-Udhampur border. Operation continues.”

Security forces launched a search operation after receiving credible intelligence inputs regarding the presence of terrorists in the region. The entire area was promptly cordoned off to prevent any movement.

The encounter commenced when terrorists opened fire on the security personnel, who responded decisively.
