**Youth Collecting Durga Puja Donations Brutally Attacked in Bhopal**

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A youth collecting donations for Durga Puja in Bhopal was brutally assaulted and attacked with a knife by a group of miscreants on Wednesday night.

The incident took place near Hanuman Mandir in Shahjahanabad at around 11:30 pm. The victim, identified as Krish Soni, a teacher who lives with his mother Bharti Soni, had been collecting contributions for a Durga Puja pandal.

According to reports, Krish was stopped midway by three miscreants named Ilu Chauhan, Bittu alias Rocky, and Rishi Rathore. The accused allegedly threatened him, hurled abuses, and ordered him not to collect donations in the area.

The situation escalated when Krish objected to their demands. The three men then began thrashing him, and Bittu allegedly attacked him with a knife, slashing his face with the sharp weapon. Krish was left blood-soaked and severely injured.

Locals rushed to his aid, and before fleeing the spot, the accused threatened Krish with dire consequences if he was seen collecting donations in that specific area again.

Following a complaint filed by the victim’s mother, Bharti Soni, the police at Chhola Mandir police station registered an FIR under multiple sections of the IPC. Authorities have confirmed that a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the accused.

Speaking about the attack, Krish said, “I was heading home when they stopped me, abused me, and attacked me with a sharp object.”

The investigation is currently underway, with police working to bring the perpetrators to justice.
