WhatsApp has introduced a new feature in its latest iOS update, version 25.27.10.70, currently available through the TestFlight beta program. The update includes a convenient “Status Chat Shortcut” that allows users to start chats directly from the status viewers list with just a single tap.
**User Convenience with a Dedicated Button**
The “Status Chat Shortcut” adds a dedicated button next to each contact’s name in the status viewers list. This means you can tap the button and immediately open a chat window with that contact, without having to navigate away from the status screen or manually search through your chats. This streamlined process makes it quicker and easier to connect with those who have viewed your status updates.
**Encouraging Spontaneous Interaction**
By reducing the steps needed to start a conversation, the feature encourages more spontaneous communication. Users can quickly message someone right after noticing they viewed their status, improving overall engagement and interaction on the platform.
