**What’s the story?**
India were crowned champions of the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup after a thrilling victory over Pakistan in the final at Dubai International Stadium. Led by Suryakumar Yadav, Team India successfully chased down a target of 147, finishing the tournament unbeaten. This victory secured India’s ninth Asia Cup title across both ODI and T20 formats, reinforcing their dominance in the tournament’s history.

### India: The Top of the List with Nine Titles
India leads the Asia Cup title chart with nine championship wins, the most in the tournament’s history. They first won the inaugural T20 Asia Cup in 2016 under captain MS Dhoni. In addition to their T20 success, India has claimed the 50-over Asia Cup title seven times, with their most recent ODI victory coming in 2023.

India’s previous ODI Asia Cup title wins occurred in 1984, 1988, 1991, 1995, 2010, and 2018. Remarkably, India has maintained an unbeaten run in both their T20 Asia Cup title wins in 2016 and 2025, and they have won four of the last five Asia Cups (2025, 2023, 2018, and 2016). The only recent exception was in 2022, when India failed to reach the final.

### Sri Lanka and Pakistan: Not Far Behind
Following India, Sri Lanka holds six Asia Cup titles. The Sri Lankan team won the championship in 1986, 1997, 2004, 2008, 2014, and most recently in 2022. Sri Lanka has the notable achievement of defeating both India and Pakistan three times each in Asia Cup finals.

Pakistan stands as the only other team with Asia Cup titles. They have won the tournament twice, in 2000 and 2014, both times defeating Sri Lanka in the finals.

India’s consistent dominance and multiple unbeaten runs in recent Asia Cups highlight their strong presence in Asian cricket, while Sri Lanka and Pakistan continue to be competitive challengers in this prestigious tournament.
