Indore News: CM Mohan Yadav Visits Zoo, Says Madhya Pradesh Has Vast Potential For Wildlife Conservation

**Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s Visit to Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya**

On Monday morning, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited the Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya in Indore, where he took the opportunity to feed birds and inspect the newly arrived wildlife species. The latest additions to the zoo include two pairs of bisons brought from Karnataka, as well as ostriches.

Speaking to the media during his visit, CM Yadav emphasized Madhya Pradesh’s immense potential for wildlife conservation and development. “On one hand, cheetahs from Namibia have successfully adapted and are breeding in Kuno National Park. On the other, species like bisons and ostriches are adjusting well to the local environment in Indore Zoo,” he said. The Chief Minister noted that these efforts will not only strengthen conservation initiatives but also boost tourism across the state.

Highlighting ongoing conservation activities, Yadav mentioned the reintroduction of cobras in the Indore Zoo. Once commonly found across Madhya Pradesh but now largely limited to Chhattisgarh, these cobras have been brought back to help restore ecological balance.

The Chief Minister also spoke about the rising zebra population, which is adapting well to Indian conditions. “Continuous efforts are being made to increase the pride of Madhya Pradesh. Soon, bisons will be introduced to other areas within the state. We remain committed to developing the ecosystem and promoting the spirit of coexistence,” he added.

During the visit, CM Yadav praised Indore’s Garba festivities, calling them an “extraordinary cultural celebration.” He urged citizens to support local businesses by buying local products during the upcoming festive season. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Swadeshi,” aimed at strengthening local economies and boosting the national economy.

The Chief Minister’s visit underscores Madhya Pradesh’s dedication to wildlife conservation, cultural pride, and economic development.
