Bombay Scottish, Mahim booked their place in the final of the Girls Under-12 Division I category of the Dream Sports MSSA Inter School Football Tournament after a convincing 2-0 win over JBCN International, Parel in the semifinal held at MSSA ground, Azad Maidan on Friday. Jane Nadar and Enaya Poddar were on target, scoring one goal each to secure the victory for their side.
In the other semifinal, Cathedral and John Connon, Fort edged past a stern challenge from Don Bosco International, Matunga. KaeLynn Carrasco’s decisive strike was enough to seal a 1-0 win and a spot in the final.
Meanwhile, in the Boys Under-16 Division IV match, Jaden Gautam was the star performer, netting a hat-trick to lead Podar International CAIE School, Powai to a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Aryan Vidya Mandir ‘B’, Bandra West. Jaden opened the scoring in the 15th minute and added two more goals within ten minutes to complete his hat-trick. The match took place at Wings Sports Centre Ground, Bandra West.
