**Five Juveniles Arrested Following Armed Robbery and Stabbing in Vista**
VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Five juveniles were arrested Friday night after an armed robbery in Vista that resulted in one person sustaining stab wounds, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
Shortly before 9 p.m., deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 30 block of Main Street. Investigators say a group of five juveniles approached a 19-year-old man, demanded his phone, and attacked him when he refused.
During the altercation, one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed another member of the group. The group then fled the scene after stealing the victim’s personal belongings.
Deputies later located all five suspects at 240 North Santa Fe Avenue, just blocks away from the crime scene. Witnesses positively identified the juveniles. The individual who was stabbed was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
All five suspects were arrested on robbery charges. The teen believed to have wielded the knife is facing additional charges of assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder. They were booked into Juvenile Hall.
The remaining four juveniles were released to their parents.
