**Jitesh Sharma Named Captain of India A for Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025**

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma has been appointed captain of India A for the upcoming Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025. The multi-nation tournament is scheduled to take place from November 14 to 23 in Qatar.

India A has been placed in Group B alongside Pakistan A, Oman, and the UAE. Meanwhile, Group A features Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka A.

On Tuesday, November 4, the BCCI announced the 15-member squad for the event, naming Jitesh Sharma as the skipper. Currently, Sharma is also part of India’s ongoing T20I series against Australia.

Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab all-rounder Naman Dhir has been appointed vice-captain of the side, while young batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi earned his maiden India A call-up. The squad also includes Punjab Kings (PBKS) promising batters Priyansh Arya and Nehal Wadhera.

The spin department will be led by Suyash Sharma and Harsh Dubey, while the pace attack is strengthened by Gurjapneet Singh and Vijaykumar Vyshak, adding depth and variety to the bowling lineup.

### Fixtures and Venue Details

The Jitesh Sharma-led India A side will kick off their Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 campaign against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday, November 14. Their second group-stage match will be against Pakistan A on Sunday, November 16, followed by the final league encounter against Oman on Tuesday, November 18.

Both semi-finals are scheduled for Friday, November 21, with the final set to take place on Sunday, November 23.

All matches will be played at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
