**Suburban Chicago Man Charged for Allegedly Calling for Execution of President Donald Trump**
*Nov. 4 (UPI)* — Federal prosecutors have charged a suburban Chicago man with a history of making threats online for allegedly calling for the execution of President Donald Trump.
Trent Schneider, 57, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, was arrested Monday morning. He was scheduled to make his initial court appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Gilbert in Chicago that afternoon, according to a statement from the Justice Department.
The criminal complaint, filed Friday, details that the alleged threats were made against the president through posts on the Instagram account *truthreaper888*, which prosecutors claim was operated by Schneider.
According to the court documents, Schneider posted an expletive-laden video stating his intent to “get some guns” and “take care of business myself.” The video included statements such as:
“I’m tired of all you [expletive] frauds. People need to [expletive] die and people are going to die. [Expletive] all of you, especially you Trump. You should be executed.”
This video was posted multiple times—18 times in total—between October 16 and October 21.
In addition, prosecutors allege that between September 26 and October 21, an illustration depicting Trump behind a prohibition sign was posted to the account 20 times. The image was captioned:
*”THIS IS NOT A THREAT!!! AFTER LOSING EVERYTHING and My House Auction is 11. 04. 2025 Donald Trump SHOULD BE EXECUTED!!! She cares NOTHING ABOUT YOU or ME!!!”*
Authorities were alerted to the posts after a concerned citizen in Florida reported them.
The court documents also note that Schneider is involved in a pending foreclosure action, with a foreclosure auction scheduled for Monday.
This is not Schneider’s first brush with the law related to online threats. In 2022, he was investigated for posting multiple violent messages about public officials on various social media platforms. That December, he was arrested for allegedly threatening to “shoot up” a T-Mobile store. In March 2023, Schneider was found unfit to stand trial on those charges.
President Trump is a survivor of a previous assassination attempt on July 13, 2024. During a campaign event in Pennsylvania as the Republican nominee for president, a bullet fired by a would-be assassin grazed his ear.
