BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Caden Veltkamp threw three touchdown passes as Florida Atlantic secured a 40-21 victory over Tulsa on Saturday night.
Veltkamp connected with Jayshon Platt on a 47-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. In the second quarter, he threw two touchdown passes to Easton Messer, helping to extend the Owls’ lead.
In addition to Veltkamp’s strong passing performance, Damarius McGhee made a game-changing play by returning a fumble 95 yards for a touchdown, further boosting Florida Atlantic’s advantage.
The Owls’ balanced offensive attack and opportunistic defense proved too much for Tulsa, as Florida Atlantic emerged with a convincing win.
