Four-time K-1 Champion Kana of Japan has nothing but respect for Stamp Fairtex ahead of their highly awaited women’s striking battle at ONE 173: Superbon vs Noiri. On November 16, the 33-year-old welcomes the former three-sport world champion back in action inside the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
Stamp has sat out for nearly two years after suffering setbacks in her recovery from a torn meniscus. That said, Kana is honored to be sharing the Circle with the affable Thai megastar in her comeback fight.
Genuine Respect Ahead of Epic Clash
There was genuine respect between the two athletes during the ONE 173 Tokyo Press Conference, as they shared smiles during a friendly face-off. Kana even complimented Stamp, who wore a traditional Japanese yukata or kimono for the event. The “Krusher Queen” shared in a recent interview with the South China Morning Post (SCMP):
> “Yeah, the kimono, yukata was very nice. It looked good on her, and before that press conference, I met Stamp. Stamp had a great vibe. She’s a nice person.”
Stamp’s gesture of donning the yukata demonstrated her respect for Japanese culture and the Tokyo crowd. Kana was clearly amused and appreciative, especially after experiencing Stamp’s genuine warmth and positive energy.

The Japanese veteran noted that her Thai opponent is excited to return to action and she could feel Stamp’s eagerness to throw down during their head-to-head. Kana told SCMP:
> “I was actually very surprised that Stamp was kind of aggressive during the face-off.”
