The much-anticipated update for **Pikmin 4** has officially launched on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, bringing exciting new features and improvements to the game. Version 1.1.0 introduces a range of gameplay enhancements, including a brand-new Field Camera for taking and decorating pictures, new Decor Pikmin to discover, and a New Game+ mode called Roll Over.
## Pikmin 4 Version 1.1.0 Update Now Live
Nintendo released the Pikmin 4 Version 1.1.0 update this week, alongside the detailed patch notes. Although the update was teased a few weeks ago, we now have the full details on what players can expect.
One of the highlight features is the **Field Camera**, which allows players to capture photos of the vibrant Pikmin world and decorate these snapshots with stamps and frames. Additionally, new **Decor Pikmin** can only be found using this camera. Once captured, these Decor Pikmin can be shared with the mobile game *Pikmin Bloom*, allowing players to receive seedlings corresponding to the discovered Decor Pikmin.
Other notable additions include new difficulty levels to tailor your challenge and several quality-of-life improvements such as enhanced cursor controls.

## Full Patch Notes for Pikmin 4 Version 1.1.0
### Newly Added Gameplay Features:
– **Activity Levels:** Choose from three different activity levels for creatures — Relaxed, Normal, and Fierce. You can switch these anytime from the Settings menu (Options > – Button).
– **Field Camera:** Starting on Day 2, you’ll receive the Field Camera, which lets you take pictures and decorate them with stamps and frames. If you resume a save from before the update, it will be added automatically when you return to the Rescue Command Post on the morning of Day 2.
– **Decor Pikmin:** After rescuing Ranger Dingo from the Rescue Corps, use the Field Camera to capture photos of Decor Pikmin and add them to your squad. These Pikmin can be shared with the *Pikmin Bloom* mobile app to get seedlings for those Decor Pikmin. Note that the same Nintendo Account must be used on both Pikmin 4 and Pikmin Bloom.
– **Roll Over (New Game+):** Start another playthrough carrying over some save data from a completed story file. To do this, select an empty Rescue Database on the file selection screen with save data from a cleared story present. If you reached Day 2 in your previous playthrough, you can skip the introduction and begin on Day 2 at Sun-Speckled Terrace, right after creating your ID Badge.
### Newly Added Controls:
– **Auto Target Lock for Cursor:** Toggle Auto Target Lock on or off in the Settings menu.
– **Whistle Center Point:** Choose whether the whistle center point is the cursor or your player avatar. The default is “Player Avatar” when Activity Level is set to Relaxed, but this can be changed anytime.
– **Arrow Speed Settings:** Select between “Normal” and “Precise” arrow speed when holding down the X button for aiming. “Precise” allows for finer control of Pikmin’s charge direction and Oatchi’s rush ability.
### Bug Fixes:
– Fixed various issues to improve the overall gameplay experience.
**Note:** The same update and patch notes apply to the Pikmin 4 demo (Version 1.1.0), although the demo version cannot link to the Pikmin Bloom application.
