“He’s done the same thing everywhere he’s gone” – Vinicius Jr explains how Brazil have ‘evolved’ under new boss Carlo Ancelotti

Vinicius Jr has praised former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti for instilling confidence in the Brazilian national team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Los Blancos winger believes that the Selecao are on the right path and are determined to give their best to win the World Cup next year.

During a recent press conference with the CBF’s official media, Vinicius Jr stated that thanks to Ancelotti, Brazil is growing into a team capable of producing exemplary results. The 25-year-old also urged his teammates to adopt the World Cup mindset, emphasizing the importance of finding that balance before the tournament.

“We all have to get into the World Cup mindset and understand that our opportunity has arrived,” Vinicius said.

“Ancelotti has done the same thing everywhere he’s gone—instilling confidence and getting the best out of every player in their ideal position. He always says his dream is to make the Brazilian people happy, to bring back the joyful football that defines us, and to win the World Cup.”

Vinicius Jr added that Ancelotti constantly reminds the players of their passion for representing the nation.

“He gives us calm and confidence. He reminds us that we already have the passion and intensity to wear this shirt, and that’s the hardest part. We just need to win so that his work gets the recognition it deserves,” he explained.

Carlo Ancelotti was appointed as the new Brazil head coach after leaving Real Madrid in May earlier this year. Since then, he has managed the team in six games, including friendlies.

### Ancelotti Denies Asking Endrick to Leave Real Madrid

In a separate interview with Diario AS, Carlo Ancelotti addressed speculation regarding young Brazilian talent Endrick and his future at Real Madrid. The former Everton boss clarified that he never asked Endrick to leave the club in order to play in the World Cup.

“We’re evaluating him. But it’s not true that I said Endrick should leave Real Madrid to go to the World Cup. That’s a matter between Real Madrid and the player. He needs to talk to the club and make the best decision for himself and for Real Madrid,” Ancelotti said.

Endrick joined Los Blancos in July last year and has appeared in 38 games across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing one assist. In the 2025-26 season under Real Madrid Castilla coach Xabi Alonso, the 19-year-old has made just one appearance, playing 11 minutes against Valencia.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup fast approaching, Brazil looks to build momentum under Ancelotti’s leadership, blending the experience of stars like Vinicius Jr with the potential of rising talents such as Endrick. The nation’s hope is to recapture the joy and success that have long defined Brazilian football.
