EXCLUSIVE: Wesley Hauptman has launched Patricia Court Entertainment, a new production and management company developing film and television across genres, and has announced his first three signings: Sophie Mutiara Nova, Kyle McCormick, and Lucia Fasano. Nova a queer, half-Indonesian, SLE-diagnosed writer-director recently won both the 2025 ScreenCraft Horror Competition and the 2025 LaunchPad TV Competition. A rising voice in queer horror and elevated genre, they’re currently developing Final Girl F*ck*ry, a film following a teenage girl who, while grieving the loss of her mother, finds herself at a summer camp for Final Girls where she eventually must face a slew of horror’s most notorious monsters, as well as the emotions she has been avoiding. McCormick, a writer-director, is developing his psychological thriller Keys with Patricia Court. The script follows a lonely woman whose fixation on a serial home invader takes a dangerous turn. A USC grad with more than a decade of experience across performance and production, he sold his first script, Dust Devils, to SyFy in 2012. Fasano is a writer, actor, and musician whose television pilot Drama Club is currently in development. She writes everything from screenplays to musicals to Eisner-nominated comics and has appeared in Netflix’s The Four Seasons, HBO’s The Deuce, Hulu’s Dollface, ABC’s Single Parents, and IFC’s Portlandia. Fasano’s latest single, the electrically charged rock anthem “Habitable Planets,” was named one of KCRW’s 5 Songs to Listen to This Week. She’s performed at SF Sketchfest, the All Jane Comedy Fest and the New York Funny Songs Fest and has had her work featured in Paste Magazine, Image Comics, Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post, Pajiba, The Mary Sue, and more. A New Jersey native who’s worked in entertainment since 2015, Hauptman was most recently director of development for the production company Caravanserai. He went to Emerson College for undergrad before earning an MFA in Producing from Loyola Marymount and making his introduction to the industry as a Warner Bros. studio tour guide. A big fan of genre films who believes the main thing missing in today’s film landscape is an emphasis on sheer enjoyability, he named Patricia Court after the street he grew up on.
