Niwot junior Genevieve Saunders was named BoCoPreps and the Class 4A gymnast of the year after winning the 4A individual all-around title for a second straight season last month. She led 13 area gymnasts on CHSAA’s all-state team, highlighting an impressive season for the Cougars.
Alongside Saunders, Kylee Schlepp, Charlotte O’Neill, and Lilly O’Neill earned spots on the 4A first team for Niwot, who also captured the team title. Among these first-team athletes, Schlepp took fourth place in vault, while Saunders, Charlotte O’Neill, and Lilly O’Neill swept the top three positions on the beam.
Sienna Wood was named to the second team for Niwot, while Isabella Foster and Charlotte Bronski received honorable mentions, showcasing the depth of talent within the program.
Broomfield’s team was led by senior Liliana Wojahn, who finished third in the 5A all-around competition and helped the Eagles secure the team title. Audrina Zanella, who placed third on vault, and Miata Santos, who earned third on floor, were also named to the first team.
Additionally, Keira La Hue and Charlotte Parris made the second team for Broomfield, with Kiara Homolka receiving an honorable mention.
Coaching honors went to Abby Anderson of Broomfield and Marisa Purcell of Niwot, who were named the 5A and 4A coaches of the year, respectively.
