The Gasparilla Island Conservation and Improvement Association (GICIA) is excited to announce the second year of our collaborative initiative with The Island School, focused on the “Living Shoreline.” This project is dedicated to environmental restoration, education, and community outreach at GICIA’s Mercado Cove Preserve.
Our partnership combines GICIA’s long-standing commitment to land stewardship with The Island School’s hands-on approach, creating a meaningful impact on the local ecosystem and fostering environmental awareness within the community.
