Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) has joined as a partner in a rezoning effort aimed at developing a massive mixed-use master planned community directly south of its plant on state trust land.
Pulte Group has been actively pursuing the site and, last year, submitted plans to the city of Phoenix for a Planned Unit Development (PUD) to rezone the undeveloped state trust land. The proposed project, named NorthPark, envisions transforming the area into a vibrant community that integrates commercial, employment, and residential uses.
This summer, TSMC officially partnered in the rezoning efforts, strengthening the development’s prospects. Together, the developers aim to create a community spanning more than 6,000 acres, featuring significant open spaces and preserved land.
According to a project website, NorthPark Phoenix would include up to 15,150 dwelling units. The housing mix would offer detached single-family homes as well as apartment rental units, catering to a diverse population and fostering a dynamic neighborhood.
With its combination of residential, commercial, and employment opportunities, NorthPark promises to be a landmark development that supports growth and sustainability in the Phoenix area.
