MANILA, Philippines — Partner-sites of Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) garnered multiple awards at the recently concluded 2025 Para El Mar Awards. These awards were conferred by the Marine Protected Areas (MPA) Support Network in recognition of outstanding efforts in marine conservation.
Ranzo Fish Sanctuary in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, claimed first place for its exemplary marine protection initiatives. Meanwhile, Pulong Bato Fishery Refuge and Sanctuary in Isla Verde, Batangas City, secured second place, further highlighting the success of MFI’s partner-sites in preserving the marine environment.
