It’s crunch time in fantasy football. You’re either cruising towards the playoffs with an excellent record and want to solidify your starting lineup, or you’re scratching and clawing for every win while finding anyone with a pulse to start for your team. Whatever the case may be, you’re eyeing the trade market.
Seeing who we can buy low on poor performances and BYE weeks, or sell high on a player we can get value for, is key. There are many ways to win in fantasy football. The best way to “win” a trade is to never think of it like that.
People often ask me about winning their side of a deal, and it makes me think they don’t understand the concept of a trade. The main objective is to improve your team. To do so, you’re going to have to give up good assets. It’s not about trying to screw over your trade partner. Nobody is accepting lopsided deals—there is too much information and trade calculators (like ours here at SportsKeeda).
So let’s make smart deals, ones that improve our roster for the long haul. The push to the playoffs begins now.

### Buy These Players:
**Lamar Jackson (QB) – BAL**
It’s been a while since we’ve seen the two-time MVP on the field—Week 4, to be exact. Freshly healed and focused on a playoff run, Jackson has an incredible set of games ahead. Baltimore will face Miami, Minnesota, Cleveland, the New York Jets, and Cincinnati in the next five weeks. All of these could be winnable games and big weeks for Jackson in fantasy.
In his three healthy starts this season, Jackson has never finished lower than QB4. His 10 touchdowns in Weeks 1-3 confirm what we already knew: he’s a stud. I’m not sure if the Jackson owner is looking to give him up after holding onto him this long, but maybe their record dictates they need help elsewhere. It’s not like they played without a quarterback since Jackson’s injury. Make the offer.
**Saquon Barkley (RB) – PHI**
Week 8 showed us the old Barkley that we’ve missed—explosive runs, great blocking, utilized as both a runner and receiver. It was everything we expected from last season’s Offensive Player of the Year.
Then we got word of Barkley tweaking his groin. Jackpot. That’s the door opening we need to buy at a discount. Plus, the Eagles are on a BYE this week. Chances are, the Barkley owner isn’t having the best season because they drafted Eagles players too high, and Barkley has done next to nothing so far.
Buy on the injury speculation and their need to fill their lineup during the BYE week. Barkley could be had for a WR2 and a low-end running back.
**Trey Benson (RB) – ARI**
Benson is set to come off injured reserve and should step back into a prominent role with the Cardinals. In a corresponding move, Arizona cut Michael Carter (later signing him to the practice squad), signaling confidence in Benson’s return to his lead-back role.
He’s much more talented than Bam Knight and should be the top dog in the Arizona rushing attack. In Week 4, before injury, Benson handled 67% of the Cardinals’ rushing attempts. Also a capable receiver, Benson becomes a serviceable flex option you can obtain for next to nothing.

### Sell These Players:
**Jaxson Dart (QB) – NYG**
Since Dart took over in Week 4, he’s finished in the top 15 every week, including two top-5 finishes in the last three. But the supporting cast is running thin. First, Malik Nabers went down for the season, and just last week, it was Cam Skattebo.
While I love Dart’s fantasy potential, he can’t continue to prolong drives with this C+ talent around him. If you have Dart, you probably have another quarterback on your roster. I’d flip Dart for a WR or RB to better your starting lineup.
Look out for difficult matchups ahead, including games against the 49ers, Packers, Lions, and Patriots in his next five. He also has a late-season BYE in Week 14. Now’s a good time to sell.
**Tony Pollard (RB) – TEN**
The Titans are struggling, and if you’re rolling with Pollard, you probably aren’t winning. Let’s get out from under players on bad teams and dump him on someone else.
Pollard remains a valuable throw-in but his value is fading. He’s now splitting carries with Tyjae Spears, and it’s showing in his usage. In Week 8, Pollard played only 48% of Titans snaps—the second-lowest of the season—and lost two-minute drill duties mostly reserved for passing game situations.
That snap reduction cost him fantasy production: while Spears finished Week 8 as RB12, Pollard came in at RB36. If you can get Pollard off your roster soon, you’ll be better off.
**Nico Collins (WR) – HOU**
Collins missed Week 8 with a concussion and has been a dead spot in his owners’ roster for three straight weeks—between his BYE, a 6.7-point outing while hurt, and last week’s absence.
During that time, Houston has been distributing targets to their young receivers and tight end. While I love Collins’ athleticism, I want to move him now before the rest of the league catches on that Houston is spreading the ball around.
Will Collins continue to produce? Sure. But I don’t see him as the top-12 receiver option he was when you drafted him in Round Two. Collins’ name should help you fetch a quality player in return.
