Arc Raiders players are currently collaborating in a community unlock event to unlock a new map. The event allows players to donate resources to fill a progress bar, which will ultimately unlock the new area for everyone to explore.
Developer Embark Studios has praised the community for their rapid progress, noting that players have been surprisingly generous with their donations. In a recent Discord post, Embark Studios shared an update on the event:
“You have been progressing the unlock event much faster than we anticipated. We had no idea all of you would be so altruistic for the Stella Montis cause, and you are donating so much more than we could imagine. We want this event to be experienced by Raiders all over the world and therefore we are raising the bar to unlock Stella Montis expecting you to surprise us again.”
Many players, including myself, reached the initial donation cap within just a few hours, indicating that the event needed some adjustments. The ‘Breaking New Ground’ event was already halfway unlocked after just one day of progress from the community. To extend the excitement and give more players a chance to participate, the developers have increased the unlock requirements.
The recent North Line update landed on November 13, bringing new content and improvements to the game. For full details on this update, you can check out the official blog post.
Arc Raiders is a paid online experience available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. The developers have already confirmed further updates coming in November and December.
