**Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Two-Day National Lata Mangeshkar Award Ceremony and Music Evening to Commence on Saturday**
The much-awaited two-day National Lata Mangeshkar Award Ceremony and Music Evening is set to begin this Saturday in Indore. The main function will take place on Sunday, where Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is scheduled to present the prestigious awards.
The event will be held at the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium located at VIP, Paraspar Nagar. According to Divisional Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade, the ceremony will start at 7:00 PM on both days.
**Day 1: Amar Lata Hamari Lata… Sugam Sangeet Sandhya**
The first day will feature a special musical evening titled ‘Amar Lata Hamari Lata… Sugam Sangeet Sandhya.’ Performances by prominent local artists including Srishti Jagtap, Nishtha Kandara, Shubhra Agnihotri, Mansi Pandey, Sana Jain, Gurusha Dubey, Swaransh Pathak, Kartik Joshi, Aparna Sen, Sanaya Dahale, Mona Thakur, and Harshad Shevgaonkar are lined up to enthral the audience.
Entry to the event will be free for all music lovers.
**Day 2: Award Ceremony and Musical Evening**
On Sunday, renowned music directors Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will be honoured with the National Lata Mangeshkar Award for the year 2024. Additionally, acclaimed playback singer Sonu Nigam from Mumbai will receive the award for the year 2025.
Following the award ceremony, a musical evening will feature a live performance by playback singer Ankit Tiwari and his team, promising an unforgettable experience for attendees.
**State-Level Lata Mangeshkar Light Music Competition**
In addition to the main events, the Culture Department is organizing a state-level Lata Mangeshkar Light Music Competition on Saturday, starting at 11:00 AM. The competition will showcase winners from division-level contests in two categories: the junior group (ages 8 to 15) and the senior group (ages 16 to 26).
Music enthusiasts are encouraged to attend and support emerging talent at this celebration of India’s rich musical heritage.
