MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine government is pushing for tariff exemptions on local products not produced in the United States, as trade talks with Washington continue.
Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said tariff negotiators are aiming for this concession.
This comes even as US President Donald Trump’s tariff policy was not discussed in the recent negotiations.
