A 16-year-old boy was fatally wounded Thursday night in the South Chicago neighborhood, Chicago police reported.
Shortly before 11 p.m., the boy was shot in the 8800 block of South Marquette Avenue. He sustained a chest wound and was rushed to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses at the scene were uncooperative with officers, according to police.
No arrests have been made, and detectives continue to investigate the incident.
