Eagles star A.J. Brown ruled out with injury ahead of Giants matchup

The Eagles will be without one of their key pass catchers when they face the Giants this Sunday. Star wide receiver A.J. Brown is set to miss the game in Philadelphia due to a hamstring injury, the team announced Friday.

Brown, 28, had played every game this season until now but was listed on the injury report earlier in the week. His absence is a significant setback for an Eagles offense that has struggled at times this year.

Through seven games, Philadelphia is averaging just 286.9 total yards per game, ranking seventh-fewest in the NFL. Brown himself has experienced a down year, averaging only 56.4 receiving yards per game, the lowest of his seven-year NFL career.

Earlier this season, Brown expressed frustration with the Eagles’ offensive performance, sharing a cryptic post on social media amid his slow start. Despite rumors of a potential trade, the three-time Pro Bowler—who signed a three-year, $96 million extension last year—made it clear he wants to stay in Philadelphia.

“This is my home, you know? I did it to myself. But this is my home, man. I love it here,” Brown said. “But you just see frustration because obviously we want to be great and most definitely I want to be great, as well.”

Despite reports of possible friction within the locker room, the Eagles remain a strong contender. They hold a 5-2 record and are leading the NFC East heading into Week 8.
