Brazen high-end apparel thief caught on camera at Glendale store

GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) — A thief disguised as a browsing customer walked out of a Glendale boutique with thousands of dollars in merchandise, and now the store owner is sharing the video of the incident with Eyewitness News.

The theft occurred on Friday at Qualité Los Angeles, a high-end clothing store located in Glendale’s charming Kenneth Village. According to the store manager, Anthony Montes, the suspect entered the boutique around 7 p.m., asking about sizes and showing interest in various shoes.

Montes explained that the man inquired specifically about a Travis Scott shirt and mentioned having a budget of $500. However, when the suspect requested a size that was not available on the sales floor, the owner went to the back to retrieve it—only to discover the thief had vanished.

“I went to the back to grab his size and heard clothes rustling. When I came back onto the floor, he was gone,” Montes said. “I went outside, and everyone—families and kids—told me he got into his getaway car.”

The suspect managed to steal approximately $10,000 worth of items, including a rare Pikachu plush, Chrome Hearts shirts, and Travis Scott merchandise. Montes noted that the thief was wearing earbuds, which he believed were for listening to music but may have been used to communicate with a getaway driver.

The suspect fled the scene in an older model white BMW 330 with black rims. Authorities are investigating the incident, and the store owner hopes that sharing the video footage will help bring the thief to justice.
