Hulu has announced that the next batch of episodes of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball will be released in the United States on December 22, 2025. The show will then air for the first time internationally on Cartoon Network and HBO Max in February 2026. The animated sitcom continues to bring back The Amazing World of Gumball, and it’s now available on more devices. The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball is produced by Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe and was created by Ben Bocquelet. The show is a reboot of The Amazing World of Gumball, which ran from 2011 to 2019 and was previously called a seventh season. The first 20 episodes came out on Hulu in the US on July 28, 2025. On October 6, 2025, they came out on Cartoon Network and HBO Max around the world. What is The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball all about The reboot revolves in the same story featuring Gumball Watterson, a 12-year-old blue cat who is always getting into trouble, and his 10-year-old adoptive brother Darwin, a goldfish with legs. They go to Elmore Junior High and sometimes get their families involved in their crazy circumstances. In particular, the show focuses on over-the-top and strange situations that happen in the town of Elmore. Each episode has its own tale, but it also adds to the bigger story that was set up in past seasons. Recap of previous episodes of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball The earlier episodes reintroduced viewers to the Watterson family and the familiar setting of Elmore. Storylines involved community events, school conflicts, and unusual challenges that stretched the limits of the characters’ world. The revival incorporated surreal humor and fast-paced storytelling similar to the original series. Notable plots from the first 20 episodes included Penny organizing an elaborate promposal, loose wildlife causing problems in residential neighborhoods, and students conducting a yearbook séance. These episodes also hinted at the return of Rob and The Void, two key elements in the franchise’s broader narrative. The revival expanded upon long-established themes while presenting new storylines that contributed to the evolving world-building. Who are the voice cast and characters in The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball? Alkaio Thiele voices Gumball Watterson, a cynical yet good-natured blue cat. Hero Hunter voices Darwin Watterson, a cheerful goldfish who serves as Gumball’s best friend and adoptive brother. Kinza Syed Khan voices Anais Watterson, an intelligent and observant pink rabbit. Additional voice contributors include Ben Bocquelet, Max Cazier, Maria Teresa Creasey, Sandra Searles Dickinson, Rich Fulcher, and Steve Furst. They provide the voices for various residents of Elmore. Production team Ben Bocquelet continues to serve as an executive producer. Matt Layzell and Erik Fountain also act as executive producers and series directors. Their leadership maintains the show’s multi-media animation style, which includes 2D and 3D animation, CGI, puppetry, photorealism, and live-action components. Composer Xav Clarke provides the music, and Joe Sparrow leads the visual direction as art director. Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe and Studio Soi oversee production. The December 2025 U. S. release and February 2026 international rollout confirm the continued development of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball. With a returning cast and consistent creative team, the series moves forward with its next set of episodes and maintains its place within Hulu’s animated programming lineup.
