CM Punk is one of the top stars on RAW. Despite this, he has namedropped a popular AEW star. Before returning to WWE, Punk wrestled for AEW for a few years. During this time, he was involved in plenty of controversies and made quite a lot of enemies. However, he also made a few friends who are still in touch with him to this day. One of his closest friends from the Jacksonville-based promotion is Danhausen. Over the years, Punk and Danhausen have engaged in friendly online banter with each other. The two of them do not hesitate to take friendly shots at each other. This has made for some entertaining exchanges online. Danhausen wastes no opportunity to take a slight dig at the Straight Edge Superstar. During one of his vlogs, Danhausen met up with Punk in the latter’s hotel room during SummerSlam 2025 weekend. The AEW star presented Punk with a t-shirt that contained images of the latter’s wife, AJ Lee, Bret Hart, and two pictures of Danhausen. However, there wasn’t a single image of the Second City Saint himself on the t-shirt. Towards the end of the video, the AEW star once again hilariously claimed that Punk owed him money. Punk is gearing up for the fight of his life when he will step inside the brutal WarGames match at Survivor Series to fight The Vision, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar.
