James Roberts scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds as East Orange defeated Ridgewood 54-45 at the Fifth Annual EssexFest held at Newark Tech in Newark.
Coming off the bench, Azahn Collins made a significant impact by sinking four 3-pointers, finishing with a career-high 16 points and eight rebounds for East Orange (4-3).
On the Ridgewood side (5-2), Andrew Barry led the team with 10 points.
Saturday’s matchup was notable as a rematch of the last two North Jersey, Section 1, Group 4 finals, both of which were won by Ridgewood.
