**Amul Slashes Prices of Over 700 Products Following GST Cut**

The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), known for marketing dairy products under the popular Amul brand, has announced significant price reductions on more than 700 product packs. This decision follows the recent cut in Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates, and the new prices will be effective from September 22, 2025.
**Wide Range of Products to Benefit from Price Cuts**
The price cuts by GCMMF cover a diverse range of Amul products, including essential dairy staples such as butter, ghee, UHT milk, and ice cream. The reduction also extends to bakery items and frozen snacks. Additionally, other products like cheese, paneer, chocolates, malt-based drinks, and peanut spread will see decreased prices.
**Notable Price Reductions**
Among the standout price cuts is the reduction in the MRP of Amul butter (100gm), which has been lowered from ₹62 to ₹58. Similarly, the price of ghee has been reduced by ₹40, now priced at ₹610 per liter. Amul’s 1kg processed cheese block will cost ₹30 less at ₹545 per kilogram, and frozen paneer (200g) has dropped from ₹99 to ₹95.
These measures are part of GCMMF’s ongoing effort to make staple dairy products more affordable for households across India.
**Commitment to Consumer Welfare**
GCMMF has emphasized that it is passing on the full benefit of the GST reduction directly to consumers. This move aligns with the cooperative’s promise to provide high-quality dairy and food products at competitive prices.
Amul’s price cuts come shortly after a similar announcement by Mother Dairy, which reduced milk prices by ₹2 per liter starting September 22, 2025.
Consumers can look forward to more affordable dairy essentials as these price adjustments take effect, reaffirming Amul’s commitment to both quality and affordability.
