XRP Institutional Volume Nears $2 Billion Inflows As Whales Dominate Market

**XRP Institutional Holders Shift to Long-Term Positions Amid Rising Inflows**

Since the start of the year, XRP institutional holders have increasingly moved toward long-term positions. The asset’s metric is currently swinging near the $2 billion mark, driving up its total assets under management (AUM). During the same period, altcoins have gained momentum after a slow start to the year, still heavily influenced by substantial traditional capital inflows.

**XRP Records $61 Million Weekly Inflows**

A recent report from CoinRP highlights that XRP has gained considerable traction and appears set to soar, fueled by the “Uptober” momentum. Yearly inflows stand at an impressive $1.88 billion as institutional vehicles secured gains in Q4 2025. Total assets under management have now surpassed $2.94 billion.

XRP continues to be a favorite among institutional investors, as evidenced by weekly figures that reflect confidence in the asset’s future growth potential. This positive sentiment follows a favorable outcome in Ripple’s case against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the increasing likelihood of spot ETF approvals in the United States.

**Spot ETFs Spark Bullish Sentiment**

The anticipation of regulatory green lights for spot ETFs has ignited enthusiasm among crypto bulls, especially for altcoins such as Solana and XRP. Experts suggest that with official approvals, XRP’s price could experience a significant surge similar to Bitcoin’s previous rallies. Bitcoin famously broke the $80,000 barrier last year and even spiked to $124,000 afterward.

**Why XRP Is Key to Investment Strategies**

XRP remains central to many fund strategies due to its strong cross-border utility and recent high-value partnerships. Ripple has established significant collaborations across various jurisdictions, providing a major boost to the asset’s outlook this year.

As of press time, XRP trades at $2.40, showing bullish monthly gains and an impressive 350% increase over the past 12 months.

**Broader Market Trends**

CoinShares data also indicate that assets like Solana and Ethereum have seen notable inflows of $93 million and $338 million, respectively, underscoring a broader altcoin resurgence.

“Year-to-date inflows have now surpassed the record inflows from last year, totaling US$48.7 billion so far in 2025. Weekly volumes on digital asset ETPs reached the largest on record at an astounding US$53 billion for the week, which is double the 2025 weekly average. Friday’s trading volumes marked the largest daily total on record at US$15.3 billion. However, total assets under management (AUM) following the tariff announcement fell by 7% from last week’s peak, settling at US$242 billion,” the report states.

With growing institutional interest and regulatory developments on the horizon, XRP and other altcoins seem poised for continued growth throughout 2025.
