Venezuela is reportedly preparing to deploy smaller military units to more than 280 locations across the country in anticipation of a “prolonged resistance,” according to recent reports. This strategic move aims to strengthen the government’s ability to respond effectively to potential internal conflicts.
In addition to military preparations, Venezuelan officials are considering another strategy known as “anarchization.” Under this plan, the government would leverage its intelligence agencies and loyal supporters to create chaos throughout the country. The objective is to make governance difficult in the event that the current administration is overthrown.
**An App to Report Suspicious Behavior**
In a novel effort to counter potential U.S. spying ahead of a possible attack, the Venezuelan government has repurposed a mobile app. Originally designed as a service helpline for residents to report utility malfunctions, the app is now being used to report suspicious behavior by fellow citizens.
This development follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s confirmation that he authorized covert CIA operations in Venezuela, ostensibly aimed at stopping drug trafficking into the United States.
Furthermore, in October, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro reportedly reached out to allies including China, Iran, and Russia for assistance, according to The Washington Post.
